Sightsavers has been working in Pakistan since 1985, bringing eye care within reach of some of its poorest communities.

Last year alone, we supported over 77,000 cataract operations and dispensed almost 5,000 pairs of glasses.

As well as assisting our rehabilitation and education work, your gift could also fund the distribution of medication that can prevent sight loss, like that given to Kausar, who recently received treatment for trachoma.

When Faqeer, a stonemason, developed sore eyes he visited his local doctor who confirmed he had cataract and would require surgery.

Faqeer was unable to afford to pay for the operation he needed and was concerned that he would no longer be able to manage his business as his vision worsened.

Fortunately, he was identified by one of Sightsavers’ partners and was offered a free cataract operation.
