Mooltetiein suffered from the painful condition trichiasis which left her unable to look after her family.
To alleviate the pain, Mooltetiein would pluck out her eyelashes with a pair of tweezers which would relieve the discomfort for a little while, but they would soon grow back.
A quick operation was all it took for Mooltetiein to be free from pain and the threat of blindness. It also restored her independence, and enabled her to support her family again.
