Mussu lost her sight in 1997 and felt unable to continue working. She became frustrated and withdrawn.

Thankfully, Mussu was identified as being in need of help and was given a white cane and orientation, mobility and daily living skills training. Her confidence grew.

Mussu returned to work, selling provisions at the market. She is able to tell the difference between all the items she sells by touch and has been trained to differentiate between monetary values.
